Should Some EU Nations be Excluded from the Euro?
Posted In: Uncategorized by adminShould Some EU Nations be Excluded from the Euro?
It is the topic of much debate: should Eurozone countries who have major fiscal problems face exclusion from the euro currency? The EU does have a set of rules in place for Eurozone members, including a maximum amount of 3% deficit of gross domestic product. Currently, at least two or three countries are far above 3%, some as high as around 12%. Consequently, the euro has received a battering on the currency exchange market, with many investors selling off euro positions like never before. Many politicians have stepped in, calling for PR release on foreign exchange to boost the image of the euro, yet the problems continue.
